Science was born from alchemy, and alchemy was a heretical fork from the church. So when we looked backwards, will, oh, they just thought there was some guy in the sky that controlled all science, like that doesn't capture. That's not how it was, not yet. We've perhaps gotten so far into this whole of being able to define what is in really high resolution, that we think we can ultimately just explain away everything, including faith itself. Not seeing that we're having faith in the very model through which we're observing reality. To even have faith, you have faith in science ultimately, cause science is fallible, right? Science is not absolute.
