I think it comes back to that developer that didn't do their forecasting in the first place. They weren't cash heavy enough for interest rate rises, time lapses delays and so on. And then it's a double whammy to the client because of the delays. So yeah, I suppose paying more attention and asking the right questions is one, but also understanding your own risk profile.
