I Am the Bread of Life

I am the living bread that me down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which i will give for the life of the world. The jews began to argue sharply among themselves. How can this man give us his flesh to eat? I think there's an obvious wink, wink nudge from john here as he tells his whole story. But our more immediate, like, wrestling match is when jesus was in that synagogue in copernaum. That's not in play yet. And so what is jesus teaching in this moment? Is he just, like, blindly talking about the lord's supper in the future? Very unlikely
