The biggest innovation came out of ARPA-E, which is the sister organization of DARPA. Steve Jobs also took those calligraphy classes, that's all really well documented there. The real question is, how could it be that a whole book on Steve Jobs, that great book by Isaac sent, turned into a movie? And then we call them bureaucratic, slow and inertial.

Mazzucato argues that economists have mismeasured value and have failed to appreciate the role of government as innovator. She argues for a more active role for government in the innovation process and for government to share in revenue proportional to its role in the creation of new technology.
