The blues is kind of like the corner stone of jaz, and it's a short form to really digest. mastering the bloos has so many benefits as far as jaz goes improvising. It translates to playing all other jaz standards, because it has all these very common court progressions that do exist within it. So perhaps in my year one, right? My year one is, i'm another in 12 ja andards, right? 12 jaz standards in a year, because i'm learning one a month.
