Greg M. Johnson, Dear Miriam and Webster, you shared a clip of a film where Korean people had difficulty understanding the name of the country France when it was pronounced with an intonation which was foreign to the local practice. Sometimes we just have to let the locals pronounce words which they have borrowed in their own tongue. But I think of when you two spend a lot of time trying to get the perfect original language pronunciation of words that English has co-opted into its own tongue,. respectfully submitted a colonial commoner, Greg M. Johnson. That's just that try and get things approximately right.
