CHAPTER

The Impossibility of Ability

There's lots of philosophic fascinating philosophical debate about whether they do count as in abilities are things associated with phobias and addictions. I'm not going to try to say exactly where this line is but let's grant for the sake of argument that some things in those categories I just call them clinical to lump them all together. The thing is I don't need to decide where that line is because those aren't the things that are used in debates about political philosophy right? They're not usually talking about motivational features that are such that they come up to addictions or phobias or that kind of analogythey're talking about self love and partiality and so on.
