Is There a Short Cut to the Top?

In the current educational system, we weigh too much memorizing of facts and learning rules for solving math problems without understanding even why those rules work. Frustration is not a sign that you aren't learning, but ease definitely is. And i think that's just an incredibly hard thing to sell to parents and students and teachers. I saw it in my kid so much growing up, and that's a piece of the education system i've really been against.
