The Role of Election Officers in Swing States in 2024

Michigan Secretary of State Mary Burke is the first female secretary of state in a swing state. She says her job will be to make sure voters get their ballots, count them and that they're counted. Her role also includes educating voters about how to vote as well as countering misinformation. "It's not enough anymore to simply just run a good election," she says.
