Perfectionism Is Not an Effective Coping Mechanism

This internalized perfectionism makes it incredibly hard for us to give ourselves slack. What we need to do is work on figuring out some ways to combat our own perfectionism. Perfection allows us to procrastinate more as we just allow certain tasks to take more and more time. It keeps us from ever finishing projects because we don't have a definition of perfectly done. This also leads to real issues with people who tie their identity and self esteem to their work.
