Some commentators have compared the last few years of trauma to previous episodes of trauma, like the Great Leap Forward famine or the Cultural Revolution. How fair do you think that comparison is? It's still on a very different kind of scale. And I think that what's really notable about the recent wave of white paper protests in China against zero-covered policy was that a lot of the post-90s and post-millennial Gen Z young people who had missed on the Tiananmen massacre are now feeling out of control of their own lives.
