The Complexity of Photosynthesis

It has been like 100 years since I had a plant physiology course where we had to learn the Krebs cycle, which I learned and promptly forgot. It really helped to go back and review literature about photosynthesis and some of the variants like CAM and C4. The section that really stood out to me, it was the section on roots. To me, that is one of the most important interfaces a plant has with its environment. But boy, do I just, I don't understand root soil interactions, let alone when you get above ground and all that.
