The Arguments Against Having Platform PMs
There's two things they're like, why not and why should we have. One of the arguments I've heard is ironically on this podcast that it's difficult to find platform pms. If you do find one they might be interested in pursuing more typical customer facing product work. That said, once you start to see some of the value that's associated with internal platform work folks do get excited about it. It could help a leader make a decision as to what is the right time or if they should go forward with that.
