Origins is a new series from Unexplainable about the beginning of life on Earth. We only know life as it exists on Earth and without water, life can't exist. How do you get so much liquid condensing onto the surface of a planet that should be really hot? It's a pretty epic question in its own right but it leads to an even bigger one: Why are we here at all?
Life as we know it needs water, but scientists can’t figure out where Earth’s water came from. Answering that question is just one piece of an even bigger mystery: “Why are we here?”
This is the first episode in our new three-part series, Origins, about the beginnings and boundaries of life on Earth.
