The Power of a Grounded Adult
I think of Jordan Peterson and the effect that he has on people when he stands with them and says, I see what you can do, I believe in you. And it does seem that we've vastly underestimate the power of a grounded adult looking at a kid and saying, I see, I see you, Isee what you're going through. And I believe inYou. That stuck with me like, this is what 20 years later still sticks with me. It was one reason why I decided to apply to a grad school in psychology. So I did undergrad in psych and then got a PhD in psych and that was part of the reason was Jordan's influence.
