Beowall, son of Acti House, said he had a fixed purpose when he put to sea. He will fulfill that purpose, prove myself with a proud deed, or meet my death here in the meat hall. The wealthy owl came in, Rothgar's queen, decked out in rings, offering the goblet to all rings until his Beowall's turn to take it from her hand. With measured words, she welcomed the key, and thanked God for granting her wish
