The fundamental attributioner is a tendency to over emphasize the role of internal dispositions and personality in trying to explain other people. The term was coined by one of my colleagues, recently passed away, a brilliant social psychologist named le ross. We are unaware of the role of situations in explaining people's behaviour, including our own. And i feels a lot of devisiveness in the case of hank. Maybe i could have realized that both of us came from different communities, different worlds, and it's those differences in our backgrounds,. an our friendships, in our social networks, that explain our differing perspectives.
