The Death of My Story

If you're trying to hold up an image of yourself as a strong person, what will probably happen is you're not going to allow yourself to feel weak. So weakness, the weakness wave is not going to be allowed in present experience. And that's why we don't, that's why the present moment can be so terrifying. That's why we keep on running away from it. To truly admit what’s here and now totally destroys your false image of yourself. Totally. I mean, that's the true awakening, really. Forget about me becoming an awakened person. What that's nothing to do with it. It's the death of the image, any image.
