The Dangers of Decentralization in Ukraine
Before the revolution of dignity in 2014, people had much stronger what you call regional identity. People were starting to say about themselves, we are Ukrainians first, and then what we are coming from that region. In this decentralization, there is also several risks, as we've seen in Dunbas. But at the same time, this sentiment, this feeling of unity, of being Ukrainian, it comes first from your regional identity. And then you transcend it in a kind of identity on a national level.
