quantitative easing is simply the fed printing money and purchasing treasury securities from the us. It pushes up tersy prices, which is the same way as saying it pushes yields lower. That's the whole intention of quantitative easing. The Fed sees its own tool ket through the lens of interest rates. Some sectors in the economy, like housing, are particularly intrestri sensitive.
