Classical Music: A Treasure Chest
Gruber writes this masterful combination of irony and beauty that takes us right to the end of one of the great works of the modern era. We hear the melodica a toy instrument, quote unquote, singing out over the rest of the group as it feels as if we've entered a tunnel. And when we come out the other side, Frankenstein is here, and well, I'll let Gruber explain. Talk about theatrical. This is to me in the tradition of Kurt Weil, music that is fun, exciting and often funny, and yet unsettling, and with a political moral behind it.
