Is It Nearly Certain That Christ Resurrected From the Dead?
I'm not a fan of Richard Swinburn's way of doing theology which is to line up a sort of Bayes theorem yes in which you can say now supposing the probability of this is 60 percent supposedly probably that is it then let's calculate these out I just don't think you can do history that way. The best reason for why Christianity got off the ground is that God really did raise Jesus of Nazareth from the dead and that is discipled by the way using the word Christ as a proper name doesn't really help there because it should be Jesus. My old philosopher tutor from Oxford read my book on the resurrection he's a lifelong atheist and he wrote to me he said
