The Rise and Fall of the Illuminati

In the 1790s, two books are published which accused the Illuminati of organising the French Revolution. The idea was so popular in America that 30 years later, there was an anti-Masonic party. Mark Twain wrote an unfinished novel called Tom Sawyer's Conspiracy - a secret society. In 1897, the Dreyfus Affair is in full swing and Theodore Herzl is chairing the first Zionist Congress. Winston Churchill writes: This worldwide conspiracy for the overthrow of civilisation has been steadily growing. It says we must drag the conspirators into the open, tear off their ugly masks, and show the world how evil and dangerous they are.
