When you are coming from a place of like, when I started running, I couldn't run a mile. And at that point where my fitness was literally anything would have worked. What happens is that in the long term, that's simply just not a sustainable way to train and it puts you at higher risk for injury too. If you care about performance, if your goal is to get faster or just to maximize where you are, then you should run easy. It doesn't feel good to be constantly pushing yourself every day.
