Is There Value at the Foundation?

If the ultimate explanation of all things is morally good, then that explains macdos. That doesn't really explain why there is moral goodness, does it? Because you're appealing to a thing that has the property to explain why the property is even there in the first place. There simply are good and evil and virtuous and vicious things in the first so it seems a little odd to appeal to the one. But my only issue with this is that sounds like the premise you're starting with is not really much more plaus than the conclusion. Or, in other words, a this, this claim that the ultimate explanation is itself has all the moral virtues, doesn't seem more plausible than that.
