The Grail is steeped in lore. It's said to have, you know, magic powers that would is immediately applicable to war. Who wouldn't want to enjoy all thousand years of your third Reich if you're if you're a genocidal maniac? I don't think Indiana Jones works unless he's tracking down obscure cult religious objects. The only difference in him and his shadowy reflection as he gives things to a museum instead of the money. As he takes the artifacts from their country. So that's probably right.
