Gracey and the Bartender

After three years away from 21, unless she knows something you don't, they're not going to serve you a drink. Grace squeezes your arm and guides you up to the bar which sweeps across the room like an old-fashioned ocean liner. The bartender gives her a look but then it disappears and he's a silver fox again. All of a sudden you're uncomfortably aware of how well you don't know Grace. You stare at your ice cubes, feeling weird and raw. Maybe your connection is thinner than you thought.
