The US State Department Declares Evan Unlawfully Detained
The State Department has designated Evan as unlawfully detained. This is a recognition by the US that the charges against Evan are totally bogus. It usually takes a lot longer to get the wrongfully detained determination, so we were heartened that it came about so quickly. The only contact we've had with Evan is via the lawyers we've appointed in Moscow. He is grateful for all the support that he's been getting and he's okay.
