CHAPTER

The Spread of Pastoralism in Sub-Saheran Africa

Archaeologists have long been trying to understand how this way of life, so herding sheep, goat, cattle and some donkeys, has spread across the continent. And their ancestry, if i can sort of simplify it m into a pie char which is a gross over simplification of complicated human processes. But they had ancestry from an area that is most likely in northeastern africa to south western asia. So what you're really seeing is the movement of people whose ancestors must have originate in ancient northeastern africa who are having children with indigenous foragers in africa.
