Is There a Cure of Specialization in Machine Learning?
I experienced something similar when I was a firefighter. We had a very specialized set of skills and only got to use those skills very rarely. In machine learning, you might have people in your organization that are using the same traditional modeling techniques over and over again. But every now and then they'll get some kind of really unique situation where they're equipped to handle it. When that occasion arises, it's important that they have that training because they're in a minority of people that are equipped to handle that situation and even recognize it.
