The Value of Being Present in Dying
A friend of mine called me up and he said, my mom is dying. She lives in Toronto, and he was living here in San Francisco. He said, when should I go? And this is actually a quandary a lot of us have. We don't know. Our family's are miles and miles apart sometimes. But the value is not in how long they have that experience. The value is in that the experience exists. It exists at the time of our dying, it exists now.
