The T Cells Are Essential, Right?
Hupter-Skeer was a PhD student in immunology at the University of South Africa. He studied animals that lacked signaling through key type two immune response cytokines, which are molecules that communicate between cells and tell them what to do. The T cell is essential for fighting diseases like HIV or any host of diseases; when they're knocked out it can be deadly. Hupter-skeer: "I really managed to just like you could feel with the city"
