Marian simms was educated from a young age, as his father had not really gotten an education. He spent a significant amount of money to send his boy, now aged six, to a boarding school in 18 19. His teacher was an irishman who was badly pockmarked from smallpox. The elder sims didn't like the idea of his son only receiving a couple of months of schooling per year.
