How Important Is Profitability to Your Company?

buffer recently became profitable but not for the first time. How important is profitability to you compared to growth and what are some of the steps that you've taken to ensure that buffer can become a profitable company? I think in many ways profitability is just built into the DNA of buffer so right from the beginning with I mentioned one page this previous product that I had one page I tried to raise some funding and failed and things and it was never generating any revenue.
