Digby: A Memoir of a Young Physician
I think the enormity of JoJo's passing affected me. And I just sensed that the reader needed a break, a break to cleanse their palate and have some hope that this book wasn't going to be completely morbid. Digby was a major character in the book, and his childhood as I had developed him became more and more interesting to me. You can't write about India and physicians in that era without having a lot of Western physicians because that's how it was.
