Is There a Moment Where Gary Beckman Engaged the Thought?
Julian Zelizer: I wonder if there has ever been a moment where Gary Beckman entertained the thought of listening to two players in a closed door meeting. It just feels a bit interesting to me that like that's not something that would at least engage discussion, he says. Zelizer: The league views it as being part of a complex series of things versus just how do you line up your playoff teams to start? He thinks from the NHL standpoint though, they're looking at it that everyone is so excited for the start of the playoffs.
