The Importance of Reading History of Philosophy
Sometimes scholasticism is blamed as being, you know, the cutting theology off from its spiritual heart. Is it just a matter of understanding kind of the scholastics in general that help give you access into his work? Or is it not that impenetrable such that someone subdued in philosophy can't understand it? That's a fair question. I mean, there's a tradition of reading history of philosophy. You have our Aristotle and our Plato; we still take ourselves to be able to look at them.
