In 1969, four years after the Watts riots, Regina Jones and her husband Ken represented Seoul newspaper at an event. The event was hosted by the Motown Record Corporation. It was a coming out party for the label's newest musical act, the Jackson 5. At the event, Motown set their PR wheels in motion to help launch the group. They groomed them in every aspect. You could see the Motown machine. Totally polished.
