Could You Make a Star Out of Dark Matter?

The best theory of dark matter we have right now is something called the wimp, the weakly interacting massive particle. So maybe there is some other kind of force out there we've never discovered before that lets dark matter interact with normal matter in some very, very gentle way. The most plausible scenario for dark stars is something which is a bit of a cop out, because it's not just dark matter stars. It's an object that's made of both normal matter and dark matter together, acting in a weird way that you might call a star.
