The Purpose of the Explanation
Trump asked that, quote, the court should adopt and implement an approach which post-pones establishment of any trial date. That makes sense because if you didn't exclude those motions, then, you know, anybody, you wouldn't have to be Donald Trump like anybody could file a scazillion motions and watch them pile up. The second anybody would slip up, you would say, up, there goes the 70 days too bad, so sad you have to let me go. And so that's the purpose for the excuse.
