Sally Kohn: I would say the majority of folks in rural communities are supportive of oil and gas coming in as a way to diversify local economies that are dependent on agriculture. But there are also, you know, real impacts to the character of the community. She says she's never been at a winter solar meeting where anyone representing a local union showed up to speak in support of a project. Kohn: The tax credits don't win friends in communities that would host winter solar farms. They're largely about benefiting the developers; they may be harmful.
