The Different Types of Candle Wax
If you're buying a candle in a non-candle store, it's probably paraffin. Commercial candles wicks are usually made from cotton but some may have a zinc or a tin or a copper core. Zinc and tin cores can create a higher temperature flame and lead to really fast melting candle or wick flare. You actually have to look at the wick when you're buying the candle.
