The Impact of Carbon Farming on Land Prices
Rabbo is doing some great work in Africa with a little initiative called Acorn. It's helping small scale farmers who regional banks, they have shares in there to sequester carbon and it makes a really different style of livelihood. In the UK, where we have peat carbon schemes for restoration of peat bogs in extensive areas of Scotland, one guy bought a grass more five years ago for $3 million and insurance company paid him $33 million 18 months ago to buy it for carbon restoration. So carbon and carbon economics is changing a lot of relative values.
