There's always a judgment being made about what's in the public interest to talk about. And that's often the case, isn't it? Why I get messages. The BBC has a duty of care and a duty of confidentiality towards the member of staff who is at the centre of these allegations. That doesn't go away just because BBC journalists are having to report this story. This letter that you got later Monday afternoon is from a lawyer representing the young person at the heart of this. It's just really useful to know and have a handle on when we're talking about the details.
