Treating things as sacred is a way of stopping them from being tented with by a level of cognition that's incapable of understanding them and therefore, rationally, you know, deciding to protect them. And this default hierarchy, by the way, is what emerged in John Holland's classifier system. The most fundamental rules that are within refined by lower rules in the hierarchy were what need to be protected and need to mutate very slowly or so on. I'm part of the mutation process that rarely arises and rarely survives because if you start attacking the sacred, you'll find that traditional tribal societies out of all kindness and light and so on.
