Adam and Eve didn't want to listen to every word that comes out of the mouth of God. They wanted to be autonomous, free, rationalist, mystics, whatever. This is where I think sometimes in this conversation about what does it mean to be in the image of God. The son of man came not to be served, but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many.

In the beginning, God spoke the world into existence. He made man and woman the crown of his creation, image-bearers of the Almighty God. Humans have a special place in God’s created order. But as we know, it didn’t take long for sin to enter the world, corrupting this image and changing our relationship to our Creator.
