The Turing Test Will Be Passed, but Not Until We Have Fallen Below It

I don't think that there's anything wrong with that unless humans don't adapt to that. And that's where I think the worry comes in. As you said for yourself, you might use it every once in a while for a reference, but you're not going to have it do your writing for you because you enjoy the creativity, you enjoy the process. If we lose that ability or desire to be creative, then certainly the Turing test will be passed,. But it'll be because we have fallen below it, not because it has improved enough.
