Sleeping by the Christmas Tree

Growing up, i always slept by at the christmas tree because i loved the look of twinkling lights in the dark. Even though i am now forty and have kids of my own, i still like to snuggle up on the couch next to the christ Christmas tree and fall asleep. But there have been a few nights where i haven't held on to reality fast enough, and i've slipped into a dread-filled dream trap. I don't necessarily think it's sleep paralysis in the traditional sense, like most people experience. And sometimes it's better for me to just stay awake rather than get dream trapped again.
