The Future of Cobalt Production in the DRC
globally we will need to extract 26 times the amount of cobalt that we do now in the medium term. Can the current infrastructure within the DRC actually meet those skyrocketing demands? So we're seeing these situations in the east particularly along the border regions begin to deteriorate. Many cities like Goma are very worried about the possible return of full-scale conflict or violence within the region. With many of these worried citizens taking to the street is protesters but when you look at the signs and speak to reporters on the ground you keep hearing the sentiment that can just fail.
