I was just taken by the fact that you have those parallel lives apart from many centuries. And somehow they got sort of intertwined into one story and that to me was fascinating. I read some doctors saying that every single doctor should read this book to understand what the patient feels. But again as many of the Solzhenitsyn's books, it has multiple levels of complexity. This is allegorically the Soviet. The Gulag, or Kipilago, and this book, these are the works that actually made him receive a Nobel Prize.
